CABEL chooses TAS Group to transform its payment management infrastructure into a Payment Hub
To enable its banks to follow a real “digital transformation” path, allowing them to react quickly to ever new market demands emerging from PSD2, Open Banking and Eurosystem infrastructure developments, CABEL has decided to rethink the technological architecture of its Payment Systems, choosing the TAS Payments Hub solution which is based on the Network Gateway 3.0 platform.
The dynamism of the Digital Payments market and the proliferation of payment instruments and services introduce a complexity that can be overcome by decoupling the channel applications, centralizing the rules for transporting data and messages on a unified Network Gateway, concentrating all payment processes in a single Hub.
The architecture proposed by TAS reflects a hub of services dedicated to payments business processing, thanks to which CABEL will be able to manage all types of payments and collections for its retail and corporate bank customers. The underlying technology is oriented towards micro services and allows PSPs to easily integrate traditional and emerging types of payment channels and instruments, while having the maximum degree of freedom in choosing different CSMs (Clearing & Settlement Mechanisms) as well as the different NSPs (Network Service Providers) who manage the connections with these market infrastructures.
The first services to pass through the Hub at the request of CABEL will be SEPA Credit Transfers and SEPA Direct Debits, CBI volumes, and SWIFT traffic for cross-border payments.
The first pilot bank will go-live with the new solution by the end of the year, followed by over 50 CABEL customer banks.
Among the many benefits of the project, the Service Center will be able to achieve greater efficiency in terms of:
- faster time to market
- reduction of ordinary and evolutionary maintenance costs
- simplification of FIN-ISO20022 migration
- faster onboarding to new clearing and settlement channels of payment transactions worldwide.
