Spending-meter - New obligations for financial operators

Starting from 2012, April 30 becomes a date to mark on the calendar for financial operators.

The measure dated 12.29.2011 issued by Italian Revenue Agency establishes that within April 30 of each year, Banks, Postal operators and other financial operators who have contracts related to installation and use of POS devices will be required to notify the Revenue Agency:

• operations data relevant for the spending-meter, having as counterparty a consumer who has paid by credit, debit or prepaid card
• tax code of the associated with whom they have entered into a contract for the installation and use of POS devices
